At last the inevitable happened. The Kangaroos beleived that they are unbeatable. Their arrogance has been something the cricket levers cant digest albeit their professionalism and true fighting spirit. By any standards, four consecutive loses are something they would never have imagined, that too from the arch rivals English and Kiwis. If the loses in the triangular series was a big blow to their pride, the two loses to Kiwis are more nails on the coffin. Injuries to key players such as Ponting, Brett Lee, and Symonds are big blows to their World cup chances. Let some one else rule the roos for sometime.

thoughout the world are surprised to see the result of IInd game what was happened with Australian Team. although he made 336 runs but he could not save himself. his supremacy is over in recent series against newzeland and even with England. no need to fear with Australian Team that he is the clean winner of World Cup 2007. those team will clinch the crown who will play the right game on that particular day by his technique, confidence, presence of mind, good strategy etc. ............thanks.

Surely the arrogance and the confidence that got them winning for so long turned into overconfidence and the result is the defeats and self doubt staring them right in the face ahead of the biggest event in world cricket. They had their confidence shaken from top to bottom in the finals against england but still they chose to rest gilchrist and ponting was injured. In the middle of series michael clarke gets injured and they had no backup batsman for such situation so they had to give all other new players a run in the middle. Their usual thinking that they are winning and will get away winning even without their key players, this proved fatal and led to their demise. But this has proved one thing that this world cup is not going to be an australian showdown all the way, there are other teams too staking claim for the world cup.

Hi, I agree with you. Australia is responsible for changing cricket from a gentleman's game to something akin to football and rugby. Who can forget their stares, sledging and wanton collisions with opponent batsmen? None of the other world cricket teams show much pomp, cockiness and ceremony like australia on the field, sufficient enough to irritate you. So, we are naturally happy if someone beats them as we think it will cool their heads a little. Even before a ball is bowled in any given series, they start a war of words or utter something in press meets just sufficient enough to needle the key opponent player. It's time they learn to keep their mouth shut and exhibit their professional talents alone on field. And yes, this is the time for other teams to take up the mantle from australia and be the best team in the world for a few months or years to come. Team india can do it. Well, let's hope and pray for them. Thanks.

Let us hope that this is only a temporary phenomenon. Five consequtive losses! That too in a span of a few days! What could have gone wrong? Injury to key players and absence of big names such as Ponting, Gilly, Lee, Clarke and Symonds! Who knows Aussies would have lost even if they were in the team. Gilly ridiculed the Kiwi series saying it is a waste of time though CA lambasted. Let the Kangaroos hop higher and faster. They need to be thre on the first 1-2 position. After all, they are thorough professionals.
