I am having a problem. My cholesterol is through the roof. I am not an over-weight person and and not old. I should of discussed this more with my doctor, but needless to say, I was in shock when I heard him tell me it was 305. He wants me to try exercise...tried to tell him not unless I am being chased will I ever run (my life is just too busy). Does anyone have any healthy ways to get this lowered..and quick?

I liked that article. I am pretty sure lack of exercise and increase in stress has caused this. Thank you so much for showing me that.

You can walk starting out only 1 mile a day and increase to 5 miles a day that's easy on your joints. Try a health food store they should have a natural remedy. They claim eating Cheerios, oatmeal and putting flaxseed meal 2 tablespoons in your food.

I am not sure I have time to walk that much. I have heard of the oatmeal thing, the commercials on tv. What exactly is flaxseed meal? Maybe I can give that a try also. I am ready to try any and all solutions for this. This cholesterol has me upset because of the family heredity of clogged arteries (at a young age) and hardening of the arteries (my mother has had both of these since she was in her 40's).Thank you for your reply :)

You can get flaxseed meal from the health food store. Maybe you could get a walking excercise tape you can do in the house.

Use only fresh vegitables. Eat less as much as you can.Get some free time do some excercise. Keep fasting once a week or have a meal once a day.

I am not sure eating less for me is a great idea. I usually only have time to eat once a day as it is. The fresh vegetables I will give a try though. Thank you for the ideas.
