What is your opinion on dressing pets in clothes?
It can look cute sometimes, but I don't think they like it much.

I too think the same. For us they may look very cute but i dont think they enjoy much. Kids also dont like elders puting on them too many clothes. The clothes are cute and i also appreciate the way they are tailored and i think it is quite difficult.

I have never been a fan of dressing up animals like you do people but recently I have met some people who do it on a regular basis and the pets seem to LOVE it. If the animals don't have a problem with it then who am I to tell someone not to do it. If however, the animal is being harmed in some way or it is making them uncomfortable in some way then it should not be done.

I have two dogs that wear clothes from time to time.
KC...my Beagle/Jack Russel mix does wear a jacket or sweatshirt.
She has such thin fur that you can see the freckles on her skin through her fur.
So, she gets cold very easily and will refuse to go outside to do her duty, if she does not have her jacket on. So, during the winter, she has to wear clothes.
We do take it off at night though...but even then, she will climb under the covers with you to stay warm.
Also, she has worn a diaper when in heat. This saves the house from becoming a mess. There is no gate that she can be kept behind...and no door that would keep her in a room that has tile that could be cleaned. So, she wears a diaper when in heat...but she has now been spayed and is currently recovering.
Then there is our new puppy, Lilly. She is a mini Dachshund. She also has short fur but I think due to her being a whole 3 lbs...she get cold very easily.
She has to wear a shirt at night while under the covers with us...our shoulders leave too much of a gap for her little body to stay covered. And recently, has had to have a sweat shirt on over it to stay warm!
Today, I thought she would not need the sweat shirt over the shirt...it got in the mid 50's and we were outside. I thought she would be fine. But after 5 minutes of being on the ground on the leash, she was shaking because she was cold!
I picked her up and put her in my jacket and she hid her head in my jacket more trying to warm up! LOL
So, I dress our dogs to help them stay warm and healthy. Otherwise, we could have a very messy and smelly house from dogs relieving themselves in the house or bleeding when in heat. :)
