what is the best time of year to visit london?

I visited London once in early December. That may not be everybody's ideal time but I thought it was great. The weather was very mild (At least when compared to my native Pennsylvania) and it was great for Christmas shopping and seeing all the Christmas sites. I'd definitely recommend London in December.
