Hope this question isn't too perosnal, but I'm curious.... were your children planned or were they happy "surprises"? For me, my first was a happy surprise, my second and third were very planned.

My first daughter was planned and getting pregnant went like clockwork, really. Now her sister... sigh... I thought I was "never" going to get pregnant again! I wanted another so much and we just kept on trying (from that aspect, yes, she was very much planned). Then, I had a regularly scheduled doctor's appointment and decided, because we had been trying for so long, that I would do a pregnancy test before I went in. Lo and behold, it came back positive. I was too scared, at that moment, to dare to believe it. So, I told my doctor when I got there and she went ahead with my examination. I was laying on the table when she said, "oh yes... you're definitely pregnant... between 12 and 16 weeks actually." You could have knocked me over with a feather! I got home and called my husband at work and told him I was gearing up to have the shortest pregnancy EVER LOL

ALL my children were happy surprises! And we have 4! hehehe. We got married in 1997, had a daughter in 1998, a son in 1999, another daughter in 2000. I thought we were done, then another son was born in 2004! how's that for surprises,eh? My husband and I are of the thinking that each child is a gift from God. Only He can give us a child, and so we accept our precious gift no matter when it was given to us. :)

I would have to say all pregnancies were unplanned. I spent the whole six years of my first marriage trying to get pregnant but couldn't. My marriage broke up and I was sure I could not get pregnant. I was careful at first for the sake of diseases, but then I stopped being careful and I still didn't get pregnant. Six months after my EX left I found myself pregnant. It was a pleasant surprise as I was single. The second time I got pregnant it was not planned. I wasn't careful but I was going by my cycle. I just didn't realize how long a sperm could stay alive. I lost that baby. My third pregnancy was also unplanned, though we were living together. But we were not married. I really wanted another child after we got married so that people could actually be happy for us instead of feeling slightly ashamed because we weren't married.

Both. I was trying for my oldest but had a lot of fertility problems. So she was a happy miracle. My 2nd was a happy surprise. My 3rd was totally planned.

Boy was my first a surprise, I thought I couldn't have children. In fact I was going to go to the Doctor thinking I has the flu when I found out she was in there! Now my second was planned.

Yes, both of our children were planned. :o) We used the ovulation thing with our 1st, and I actually felt a "ping" lol ~ I knew I was pregnant when I felt that. With our 2nd we just determined when the best time would be and it worked that time too.

I have one child, and he wasn't planned. My husband and I had been discussing having a child for as long as we had been together (6 1/2 years I think at the time I found out I was pregnant) and I had been saying I wasn't sure I wanted any. Well, just before I found out I was pregnant, I finally decided that I wanted to have a child in a couple of years when hopefully we would be in a better financial position. I was already pregnant when I said that, as we were to find out soon. So it wasn't the best timing, but I'm very very happy that I have my son. =p

My first was a BIG surprise along with my other 4.....My second was what I call a quick pregnancy,I kept getting sick and going back and forth to my doctor and hospitals and they kept telling me nothing was wrong, they even did pregnancy tests,NOTHING!Finally, while deathly ill I went to the hospital again and the doctor there informed me on January 31st that I was pregnant, not only was I pregnant,I was due on or around February 11th....He weighed in at 2lbs,12oz and has Russel Silver Dwarfism.....this is why no one could detect him and my cells didn't change when doing the blood work.....I was on birth control and got to the point after my third to stop taking it since it didn't work anyways.....my doctor changed my prescription but 6 years after my third my fourth was born and I had to wait 6 months before having atubal due to swelling and when I went into have it done,BANG!there was my fifth.Believe me,after she was born I was NOT leaving the hospital until I was fixed or hubby tied a knot in it.....LOL.....Sorry for going on and on here but to answer your question.....no,none of mine were planned

Well my child was kind of planned. I have always been on birth control, but one month didn't have the money to go and get it. I told my hubby and we decided just to see what happens. We had been talking about having kids soon so it really was in the back of our minds. The next month I missed my period and found out I was pregnant. This was the best day of my life. 9 months later we had a beautiful little girl born at home! We are now doing Natural Family Planing so if I get pregnant it will be a suprise.

My first child was born 9 months and 8 days after our wedding! That was a bit of a suprize. I thought we could honeymoon for at least a year. It seemed for awhile there that all my husband had to do was look at me to get me pregnant. We did want a family no doubt about that, but after 5 boys in 10 years it was enough. I think the kids planned more than we did lol.

Our twins were planned. Well, at least one of them was. HaHa. It is very interesting to discuss this topic because so many children are not planned. I know that I was a pure accident and my mother was only 18 when she gave birth. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason, and that is why all children are put here on Earth.
