hello! i love the series of flowers in the attic too... my friend and I thought of creating a movie bout flowers in the attic and we were surprised that there was one already.maybe you've seen that already because it was created on 1988, if not, Check it out and see Olivia with her really stern look...

I bought several v.c. andrews books a year ago. Unfortunately I haven't been able to read them. The only series so far I've read is the Flowers in the Attic series. That was awesome! I think I may go dig them up now!

I have been reading VC Andrews since I was a teenager, and I'm 33 now. I just picked up the Flowers in the Attic series again after 10 years of not reading them (I don't know why I stopped). I just finished If There Be Thorns. You can't help but get caught up in these books...she was such a gifted writer, blessed with an extraordinary imagination. The Casteel series is just as good as Flowers. I plan on reading that next.
My Sweet Audrina is very good too. It's a pretty disturbing story...again, an example of her amazing writing.
I tried to read the later books, but found they were all copy-cats of either the Flowers books or Casteel. Just the same themes repeated over and over. Though I may go to the second-hand shop and pick them up, just to have them...

Wow, that's one I haven't thought about in a while. I remember being pretty much addicted to the Flowers In The Attic series. I read some of the HEaven ones, too. Now that you've brought her up, I think I'm gonna have to read some more of her work!
I really like how she has the characters in more than just one book. I think maybe I just hate for a story to end, and this way it can go on and on, lol.

I stopped reading these books when they were no longer written by VC Andrews. I read the first two series, and while her outlines were still being used for years, I don't think some of the ghost writers hired to write the books were up to her standards.

Well I haven't read her in several years but I loved her books. My favorite is the Flowers In The Attic series. I loved that one. It was very well done. The last in the series, the prequel that dealt with the grandmother was excellent. I read it thinking, I don't want to like her. I don't want to feel sorry for her and yet you end up doing just that. It shows her from a very different view point. V.C. Andrews was an excellent writer.
