how MyLot should pay to spur intelligent posts and eliminate short ones

I've got it, MyLot has a lot of people that make short not really well thought out posts. Of course these people, if they write enough to not get booted, don't spend as much time writing as do those of us who write long, well thought out posts. My lot should pay based on the length of the post, (of course not just a bunch of repeated paragraphs). This would eliminate the desire of some people to write as many posts and responses as they can, in favor of well thought out posts. many of my posts are 5 or more paragraphs long, but I try to explain in detail my thoughts, feelings, opinions and experiences on whatever subject I'm responding to. Consider this, If I am really passionate about a topic, I can sit and write 5 paragraphs fairly easily. The thoughts and Ideas will flow if you are really interested in the topic. on the other hand if you are writing a bunch of short responses to people, more time will be taken by those people looking for posts to respond to and the time to gather a thought, (if they have one), on that topic. If myLot paid based on this criteria, those of us that spend more time trying to make a topic somewhat thought provoking would benefit from our time spent thinking and writing, as opposed to that money going to those who write short, not thought out responses. It should be the quality, not the quantity of posts you make that determines how much of the share you get paid. I'm not saying every post should be 5 paragraphs long, one paragraph many times is enough, sometimes even a sentence or two, but those would be paid accordingly.. I would get lesser amount of money for a one sentence post, but that would not stop me from making it if it fit the conversation and made the point. on the other hand my true passions and attempts to make a thoughtful post would be paid more than the average post. It is like getting paid by the hour instead of getting paid because you showed up. What do you think and if you agree, how can we get Mylot to listen?

I agree with you to a certain extent. Yes, it is a good idea to be paid more if you are willing to participate the way the guidelines indicate that you should. However, I do not like to have to read five paragraphs from twenty different people, before I get the chance to say what I feel. When I have to read so much I get bored and it is no longer fun. I like to just write as much as I feel the situation calls for. If it requires just a one liner and it is something that I feel really needs to be said, I'll do that. But you can't drag each response on forever just to earn more money.

Hi Rozie37, Yes, I suppose there is a point there. Unfortunately we cannot teach computers to disseminate the meat of a conversation, if we could then the computer could debate itself, but that would be a different forum. You are also correct on the reading part. I do find myself skimming though a lot of posts when there are several long responses. If they are good and well thought out I like to read them, but it is too easy for people to write jibberish. Oh well, I guess this will be a short topic, LOL... It would be nice if some how quality testing could be easily accomplished or automatically analyzed...

Rosie, You get best response by default. Never thought it would be that easy huh? I just thought I should go through and clear up some of my discussions.
