i had once been introduced to Barney last year when my dad's employee brought his 2 year old son at dad's office. he went with me upstairs having his barney VCD with him. intrigued, i played it on and i was amazed that the two year old kid knows the songs!
actually, i love the songs of Barney. childish, yep. but since then, i love watching Barney and i just bought a Barney VCD (again) last week and watched it last night. and can't help but smile.
well, yes. it's a kid's thing. but i do believe that there's always this little kid inside of us. we just don't know what they want but it keeps us younger all the time.
so, what are those things that keep you young? just as if you act or look like a kid. i don't think there's something wrong with that. or is there?

i find there's nothing wrong in letting out the child in us every once in a while. i'm still single and i don't have kids yet but whenever i spend time with my small newphews and nieces (which is often) we always watch vcds of tom and jerry or loony toons and i feel like i'm a kid again. the cartoons still make me laugh every time i watch them. hearing the kids' laughter makes cartoon-watching doubly fun.

No, of course there is not nothing wrong with this feeling. Though I do not know what barney...
Anyway it is easy, when you have a child. Because you may see movies, you may read tales. And it will be seemed you do this just because you have a child :DD and you see and read the tales together. Or you listen to barney's song together. It is good to be a parent :D

I'm always fond of watching cartoons, and I also missed those cartoons that I enjoyed from the past. But know I get to watch Spongebob, Justice League, the Simpsons, Drawn Together, American Dad and Dragonball..
I have a niece who also grew up watching Barney, since her parents are both working, I'm the one's always left to accompany her during her first two years. So I 've also learned to appreciate Barney, we always sing the songs together!;)

I seem not to know who Barney is but you can be sure I can act as a child and I like this childish things very much...for example I like wearing my sweaters very long sleeved and soft...and I like to have my hands hidden into the sleeves...just like children often do with their mother telling them not to do any more unless they want to damage the sweater itself...I like...oh how I like it because it makes me feel safe and comfortable..it is just like creating my own little warm space around me...I like sitting with my head on my kness and my hands folding my legs together...it seems like an egg but I like it ...and I like walking on the gravel and making it sound beneath me while I walk...I like the sound it makes when you put your foot down into it and walk like a snake into it..isn't is foolish? But I like it...and I am definitely crazy about going on the swings...Oh I like the feeling of flying into the sky and then down to the earth again...I am lucky cause I am very little and thin..therefore I can still you them even though they're supposed to be used only by children!!!!I like this child living inside me

the child inside us keeps us happy all the time. makes us turn into a free spirited person without hurting someone.
it's okey if you don't know barney. not all do.
just like you, i have funny sitting positions. when eating, i cross my legs on the chair and i sat on them. and really is painful after sitting on them. my boyfriend finds me funny. when we eat in restaurants, i don't seat on my legs crossed. but i sit on one of my foot. and we do laugh about it.
as of now, i am sitting like the egg you've mentioned. and well, we might look foolish when doing this, but it's how we find ourselves comfortable!

I watch many of the children's programming, but when I do, it is with the kids! The programming is very educational and I have used a lot of what I have learned in real life. Sesame Street has taught me a few words of Sign. I also know some Spanish words too.

I personally loathe barney, but that's okay, you go ahead an enjoy it. I do however love to do childish things with my son. We have a milk dance, after I warm up his milk, we shake the cup, so there are no uneven spots and we both dance for a minute or so.. it's very cute.. Also, I love to swing.. I haven't been able to in awhile as we have a 5 month old as well, and if my hubby has the 2 year old, i've got to carry the baby.. but I might try it WITH the baby soon.. (as long as I don't fall off) (:
Oh! also, I love playing with playdough and coloring.

playdough is so cool. i have those when i was younger. and it's cute to have a milk dance with your son. that's cute! i still love swing as well. just love the way when i feel the wind while swinging! and yep. you won't fall since you'll take it slowly with your baby. take care.

Generally me.
I'm like a clown without the face paint or clothes. I can pretty much cheer anyone up and normally it's a good thing, i guess what keeps me like is the fact i don't want to grow up although i do act mature. (just a funny dad figure)
Hopefully i won't embarse my son when he's older.
There's alot of children shows which i like to watch because some are fun and not all are aimed towards children. so are aimed at both, i don't like barney :P (i think it's his voice) as i love dinosaurs. hehe (land before time!!!!!) i love that =)
Kudos!

oh. hehehe. i understand. but i am not really a lover of barney himself. but i love the songs in it. and i like baby bop. hihi.
and i have all the land before time collection. i love dinosaurs, too.
i do act like a mature person, too if the circumstance needs it. so, no need to dump the kid in us when we are growing up.

My grandkids keep me young. We are always doing things and never just sitting around. We go out to the playground and I play games with them. Tag, ringaround the rosie, duck, duck, goose and a lot more. I even go down the slide with the kids. Also at the nursing home I clown around a lot. I just love life and want to help the elderly folks have a little better life. I do things to make them smile. I have been told one day would I please act my age. As I responded back to her to tell me what a person my age should act like and I might or might act that way. I enjoy life and love people and didn't know when you become a certain age you had to stop having fun. People will just have to look the other way. Go figure.

i think there's no certain age for us to stop having fun. even if we can't stand anymore because of old age, fun is still great and will even help us feel better even when sick or bedridden.
i envy kids who have grandmothers like you. my grandmother wasn't like that to me. she's always busy and really very strict. but nonetheless, i love her.
so keep having fun and enjoy having some fun with your grand children!

before ,when i was still single, i was a littlebit annoyed with barney but when the time came,i had my little ones,i began to appreciate barney more. it helps my kids learn values, manners not to mention different songs that i also got to memorize every song barney sing and dance along.let's face it,barney is a hit to all children.with his purple color , who wouldn't look at barney, lol!i have a cd collection of barney so that they can watch it anytime they want.at least i am sure it is safe for them to watch it.asidefrom the purple dinosaur, they also love dora and diego.watching dora explore things made them so active and improve their thinking skills.there is totally nothing wrong about liking kids stuff,it makes us feel younger and aware atrthe same time on what our kids nowadays are being exposed to

barney freaks the crap out of me honestly. i had to watch that with my little cousin when i was younger and was pretty traumatized. i joined the anti barney people and refused to let my children watch that show. that and the teletubies...they're just too creepy as well. i know some people let their kids watch it, i mean, he must have some fan base since he's being around for so long, but he's just not for me. i'd prefer my kids watching the Wiggles or the Doddle Bops. its just a parents prefrence. i have my own little cartoons i love watching from my own childhood days. the one i loved was JEM and the Holograms, i had bought that a while back. i do watch some of the cartoons my kids watch, but its the older ones like the ones on Cartoon Network. something as simple as barney wouldn't get me.

I don't mind kid's shows, I've even watched bits of the Teletubbies, lol, but I can't stand Barney. But I will admit, I was only about 29 or 30 and I was watching Pokemon almost obsessively, a few years ago. I was so into it, I even got a card game based on the show, (I don't mean the regular trading card game, this was a different game) and a friend sent me figurines of Jessie, James and Meowth for my birthday that year, because Team Rocket were my favorite part, and no I don't usually like the bad guys, lol, but they are just too cute. ^_^

I've known Barney since my kid was more than a few months old.Watching him can be quite addictive. I bought and watched every CD with my little girl and made sure she has the complete collection. The purple dinosaur was really effective in teaching my toddler not only singing, but a host of good manners and values as well. He also brought out the child in me that I have enjoyed and memorized all his songs. Right now, at five years old, my daughter has moved on to other cartoon characters in Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network, but the good things that Barney taught her stayed with her. My daughter keeps me young. Actually, we're more like sisters :)

yep. i don't have all collections but i have some. i almost memorized the songs, too and dance steps as well. haha. but i remember the values they teach children. like respecting, not stealing, going to bed early, washing hands, brushing teeth and so on.. and funny, barney is great. haha.
