First Loves. Will you ever forget your first love?

After a long while, i finally get time away for myself. I spent a good 2 hours watching a critically acclaimed movie 'SEPET' which portrays a love story similar to my own. My first love was my high school sweetheart. We were an item for as long as i can remember. We respected each other's differences (we are of different race and religion). Through out the 9 years of being together, he joined the army and became a lieutenant. Then, after years of going through ups and downs together, we split. He will always have a special place in my heart. I still do love him but in a different kind of way now. I always have flashbacks about the good times we had, the places we've been to, the uncountable gifts and love letters we exchanged. Are you dating your first love? If not, do you remember your first love? Was it your high school sweetheart? Did you marry your first love? Was there any parental objection? Will fathers ever think that a boy is good enough for their daughters?
