do you know people who "know EVERYTHING"?

Do you know those people who try to convince others that they know everything? I guess you would call them like a know-it-all or something. Do you ever try to prove them to "NOT" know it all? LOL -- I have felt like it so many times that I am seriously thinking of canning my politeness for a short time and just correct them on whatever it may be at the time. Let's face it, no one knows "everything" and it's not a bad thing not to know stuff all the time. How do you react to a Know-it-all?

Walk away! My brother-in-law knows EVERYTHING, no matter what the subject! I just walk away when he starts talking. I'll be he wonders why I have to take a bathroom break everytime he opens his mouth to talk!!

I usually don't have much time for these types of people and couldn't be bothered trying to prove that they DON'T know it all. However, if what they are saying is completely wrong, depending on who it is, I will pull them up over it. I do like to listen to advice from people who know what they are talking about though.

Those kinds of people who think that they know everything are so hard to be around, for more than a minute, lol! I tell you.. my mother isn't exactly like that, but she is the type who always thinks that she's right. I've heard her apologize and admit to being wrong maybe 2-3 times in the last 10 years, if that. It's pretty hard living with someone who 'never does anything wrong', and it's always someone else's fault and not hers. But I do love her very much. After all, she is my mother.

YES! My Father in law. He knows it all down to everything I do with my son (he drove a truck when my husband was little). Every time I get to prove him wrong I eat it up!!! As far as he is concerned I have no clue what I am doing from putting on my shoes to raising my son. I am obviously doing something right, my shoes are on the right feet and my son is very healthy and clean.

ouh i have a few of these kind of people at work! i can't stand them. they act as if they know everything and whatever that comes out of their mouth- they think it's correct and right etc. bleh. when you try to correct them, they are able to come up with 1001 excuses and other facts! sometimes i feel like these ppl are trying to belittle me and it's just irritating. i'm tired of arguing back, so i'll try to ignore and avoid them whenever i can hehe...
