what are your ways in getting connected with people?

keeping abreast nwith anyone now isn't as impossible and hard as before coz we have more ways and means than before! thanks to the new and fast technology today. now, what are your ways in getting connected with others? do you use, snail mail, message in a bottle, e-mail, fax, phones,internet? which is which? do you prefer using different gadgets for different communication purposes?

Depending what I'm doing it's either talking on my cell phone, I do send a few texts now and then, email for long catch up type stuff and IM that can be from my phone or on the computer depending on where I'm at and what I'm up to.
I never write letters anymore, or at least not that are ever mailed, LOL.
