Are video game affecting our society?

Few weeks a I found out a father beat his child to death just because the child knock off his game console from the table. What is going on with the world? It's only a game!

well, all i have to say is that one man is not the world. i think (i HOPE) most of us have the sense to distinguish between reality and video games. i don't think it's the video games affecting the people, but the people using video games as an excuse. to me that's pretty childish.
