Have You Made Changes in Your Life Due to Global Warming?

After seeing Al Gore's movie, An Inconvenient Truth, last summer, I started seriously worrying about global warming. Not that I was unaware of the problem before, but the movie really got through to me. I calculated my "carbon footprint" and discovered that my impact is somewhat less than average. So that's good, but since I rent, I can't do some things that are recommended to make my apartment more energy efficient (and it's horribly inefficient). One thing that I have done is started replacing my incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescent light bulbs. That's an easy step to take. I have been doing lots of online surveys to make extra money, and I have done at least one or two on cars that run on alternative energy such as ethanol or biodiesal fuel. I am hopeful that the next car I buy will run at least partly on some sort of alternative fuel or electricity.
What about you? Have you started doing anything differently due to concerns about global warming, such as buying a hybrid car, using compact fluorescent light bulbs, or making your home more energy efficient?

Well, there are other types of changes that can be made, such as reducing consumption, recycling, using compact fluorescent light bulbs, etc. But if you're not driving a car, you're impacting the environment less than those of us who do, so that's good. Thanks for your comment!
