helping hands are better than praying lips

when i attend a function at my friends house, food gets wasted. without any hesitation my friend(rahul)called 1098 child helpline.They came and collect that food. we have to thank god for the food that we can have easily. but in the other hand....ironically,we still waste the food that we buy. at that situation i thought this one - "helping hands are better than praying lips."....... Do u faced any situations like this? or do u agree with this statment?..
