Should I provide my Social Security number over the Internet? With all those scam bags that are proding the internet, should one really provide thier social security number over the internet. What are your thoughts about this, share them to us here.

There should be a clear indication as to why a company or website is asking for the SSN. Unless your applying for a government or federal job don't just provide any pertinent information as your SSN provides information about you. Government websites always has a .gov in its URL.
Some hiring companies do ask for SSN or TIN for infromation or background purposes.
