Sorority's and Fraternity's? Opinions?

what do you think of sorority's and fraternities? Is it worth it to join one? Has hazing gotten better or worse? what about frat houses and sorority houses? I'd like to hear everyone's opinion.

They were banned in my university. Apparently they still existed, but their parties were lame and they didn't accomplish much. With an active student life supported by the administration, there is no need for such organizations, especially when they break the law.
