Is Perez and the media too hard on Britney Spears?! I Definitely think so!

the media is not too hard but it is also not friendly towards her. though the media exaggerates her actions but it certainly is not behind them.the saying also goes " there is no smoke without fire"

I agree. Perez Hilton sometimes takes his joking too far at the expense of celebrities who attract way too much negative attention. I used to like his site but he never really breaks stories any more and recently all he does is steal photos and stories from other sites like tmz.com and repost them. As far as Britney Spears goes, I think he and other celebrity hounds like him, had a part in her breakdown. Her every move has been so harshly scrutinized and criticized lately, she really can't catch a break. Maybe she thinks this will be a new beginning for her, who knows.

i always feel so abivalent about celebrities. on one hand, they pursue a career on TV. look at britney spears, for instance. if she wanted a career without all the media coverage, why didn't she pursue a career on stage? or live in a city that is not filled with paparazzi? on the other hand, i feel bad for them. britney was raised and groomed for this job. her parents encouraged it and didn't safeguard her with an education or any real world life-skills. i doubt she even knows how to do her own laundry or balance a checkbook. i read perez religiously, but it is sort of a guilty pleasure of mine. plus, you know, he is never as nasty to celebrities in real life as he is on his site, which makes me question whatever credibility he had (he lost a lot in my eyes by stealing photos; anyone who works on the net should try to work against theivery like that). basically, i like his site because he breaks stuff before everyone else; i hate his site because it is so nasty and mean (but i also sort of love it because it is so nasty and mean). also, he's so mean to everyone, but he never posts bad stuff about paris hilton -- even when all that video surfaced in which she was making racist comments! what is that about?

the only time i really thought perez went too far bashing britney was after the vmas. the "open letter" he wrote to her was horrible. absolutely horrible.

Perez has 'c' envy. He wants want a woman has, if you know what I mean. That's why he trashes women like Britney. He's jealous.

Yes,i think so.Maybe media should not be too hard to Britney and let her do her own life.I cant believe Britney can be like that.Maybe she is too tension wiith more attention from paparazi to her life and cannot live well.I love Britney and i sympathy for her life.

Perez Hilton.... this is the first time I hear this name.... so you say that he is totally heartless towards Britney Spears.... yes, I think it's very easy to be heartless with her now she is so bad and she is doing some nonsenses. I don't care much about Britney Spears, I'm rather old, and I listen to other kinds of music, but I'm very sorry for her, for all the troubles she is living in this period. I'm a parent and I know how much children need their parents.... I hope Britney will be fine as soon as possible, for her, for her career and for her children....

I don't think the media is being too hard on Britney. If you ask me, we all have it hard. Everyone has their critics who are ready to bring us down and bring our skeletons out of the closet. Yet we manage to live our lives without going completely bonkers. I do believe however that Britney is being too hard on herself. All the partying she does is really hard on her body. I used to party like mad when I was younger, and after awhile I fell into a tailspin completely out of my control. And here she is trying to maintain a clean pulbic image and raise her young boys while she is out drinking and doing god knows what else. Britney needs to learn to grow up a little. We all have our hard knocks as we grow up. If Britney didn't want to be in the public eye, she has every opportunity to live a nice quiet life with all her millions back home in Louisiana. In the end she would have it easier than most of us if she were to go that route.

I think she need severe help and the media is not helping. She needs attention to survive but not the negative attention the media gives her. **just my opinion**

Is he too cruel? maybe. Is she being portrayed as something she's not? probably not. She's running around snorting coke, showing off her goodies, meanwhile where are her children? i could give a hoot what she does with her hair, but when you are a mother and have 2 small children at home the last thing you need to be doing is going out at night and partying. She did this to herself, and gave herself this image, Perez is just making light of it, and he always says he hopes she gets her life straightened out. In the meantime why can't we can we poke fun?? If she didn't want all the pictures and tabloid stories maybe she should act more like a mother.
