take a mirror and look into it from various angles, it takes on the color of the object that is reflecting directly back at you. a mirror appears to be transparent because the air in the foreground of a reflected object is invisible. therefore the mirror takes on the color of air. Now the definition of transparent is: So fine in texture that it can be seen through. But you are not seeing through a mirror. you are seeing an exact reverse copy of what ever is facing the mirror, so i would say that a mirror cannot be transparent because you cant see whats on the other side of a mirror. what do you think?

Silver? it can't be clear, because a clear window doesn't act as a mirror... but the back of my ipod works fantastic!
