though of us who where raised before 1980 where thought recpect,like yes sir,an yes mam.what happened to that being thought today?

yeah, i agree. sad to say, but youngsters nowadays are less respectful to their elders, or to those who have higher authority. when i was still young, we kids are very respectful to our parents and elders to the point of being scared of them if we have committed a mistake. eventhough if it's just a childish error like breaking a glass or vase, or accidentally making scratches or marks on the floor or wall. but now, kids are less afraid of their elders, and therefore have lesser respect. i wish that we could bring up our own children just like how we were brought up in the old days, and teach them good values like respect.
