Shopping in L.A and surrounding area

Like I mentioned in another thread, I'm going to California in April (for a week) and will be staying just outside L.A...well...I CANT go to Cali and not go shopping, that would be insane on my part LOL so does anyone have any suggestions on some good places to shop in the L.A/Hollywood etc area that WONT cost my my husbands liver and kidneys or my childrens limbs etc...are there any "hidden away" type shopping areas that arent total tourist traps? I'd mostly be looking for clothes, shoes and gifts btw...

I just talked to my girl-friend thats here in cleve. she said go to Rodeo Dr. theres some nice stores in the area in Hollywood.

I'd wanna go to Rodeo just to see how snotty it really is..LOL tell your friend thank you and thanks for passing on the info to me marciascott (oh and Happy Birthday btw!!)

i thought you wanna go shopping, but you don't wanna spend more....???? well, dont go to rodeo drive coz there's nothing that's cheap there...LOL...well, you might wanna go there, and walk around anyway...

Hollywood blvd is wall to wall shops and surprisingly a lot of them are inexpensive unlike the stores on Sunset Blvd. Enjoy your shopping trip. Have fun Visit Gromann's Chinese theatre which has grown into it's own mall with a subway station underneath even. Have fun!

Hollywood blvd eh...I'll have to make her take me there LOL She's in North Hollywood so I'm figuring it cant be too far from her LOL...
Theres actually a lot of things/places I wanna check out while I'm there..I dunno if a week will be long enough actually LOL I might have to go for 2!! Thanks Sharon and if you have any other suggestions (they dont have to be shopping related either) please feel free to share them LOL I might try and weasel her into takin me to a strip club just because I've never been to one in the U.S before LOL nobody will take me damn it..I think they're afraid I'll start dancing again LOL..and I'd like to check a couple cemetaries too like I HAVE TO go see Gypsy Rose Lee's grave at Inglewood and Bela Lugosi at Holy Cross Forest Hills I gotta find out where Marylin is buried too...and my gf said she wants to take me to Venice Beach..theres lots I wanna do while I'm there LOL getting my hair braided would be nice too come to think of it..I'd have to bring my extensions with me but thats no biggie...I'll have to get her to look into that actually and find me somewhere decent but not sickly expensive to go....

i live in LA, so i hope i can help you with your shopping trip. try to visit the outlet malls first. there's one in camarillo, off the 101 north. they have pretty good stores there, and cheap too. there's the citadel outlet, off the 5 south. stores like tj maxx, nordstrom rack, ross have pretty good deals too. enjoy shopping!!!
