I wish I could. But our soil is like cement, and we never get rain.
If I could, I would love to plant bulbs. I love the iris flower, it smell so lovely.
We do have a lot of cacti, and they bloom on their own for spring. The flowers are so bright, and look like plastic. They are quite beautiful. So, I will have to be content with them.
What do you plan Sandy?

You must have a really pretty garden. I would love to have one, but no way out here.

I have black thumbs (not green thumbs) so all my plants siimply shrivel up and die the minute they touch the soil .. so I don't grow anything .. which is no help to you of course ..
It's always a good idea to have a look at a neighbours garden .. and see what's growing well .. generally that means it should grow well in your own garden as the soil types and weather will of course be similar ..
I am planning to try some trailing cherry tomatoes in one of my long abandoned tubs though .. that would be nice .. it's a pretty plant and gives loads of cherry tomoatoes

I love planting gardens! I think one of the easiest plants to grow are impatiens, hosta, and begonias. They are so easy to care for and the results are spectacular!Impatiens are the easiest as they can be grown in shade and as long as they are watered alot, they are basically care free.
