Anyone who has had radioactive iodine ablation done on their thyroid?

I had my ablation done in October of last year. So far, I have gained weight, about 12 pounds, my heartrate is down, the tremors are gone, and it seems like all the hyperthyroid symptoms are leaving. Is there anyone else out there that has had this therapy and how did it work for you.

My younger daughter had this therapy a few years ago and she has done very well and put on weight. Before she was diagnosed, she appeared to be speeding all the time, talking too fast and very jittery. She has calmed down quite a bit.
