Is Earth really the Hell we bare?

Indeed the Bible does say that when we die we go to heaven or hell, but, is hell a deep pit of evil or is earth really the hell we bare. There is nothing in the Bible that describes hell. If we had been told 50 years ago that there would be a war starting in the millenium a lot of people would not have believed this to be true either. If you mentioned "stem cell research" most of us would have said, "Huh? Whatz that? Don't believe it can ever happen!" There are many things God has in store for us which we may not understand and we don't know for sure if the spirit of someone we loved doesn't stay a bit longer to be sure their loved ones are OK before they leave us hopefully for heaven. There are just no concrete answers.

I once heard someone say that for those who are saved, earth is hell, but for those who do not believe in Christ, earth is their heaven. Why? Because hell is the separation from God. For those of us who will spend eternity with God, earth is the farthest we will ever be from Him. But for those who will be spending eternity apart from God, earth gives them the closest glimpses of Him.

"Hell" is actually, when it comes to the bible, a mistranslation! Yes a mistranslation.. It should read "the grave". And actually hell, or rather hellfire, is described in Jude, verse 7, which says Soddom and Gomorrah are examples of "everlasting hell" - So what is there now? Same as the grave, dust.. [There's hills of dust and ashes there now, no flames.] I, and many others, too I believe - believe that it's the lesson that's everlasting. That things built without God/Life, can only crash and burn.. and this is an everlasting lesson all are learning. It's also interesting that where two things, the beast and the false prophet, are "thrown into the lake of fire" at the end of Rev 19, are not people or individuals at all! But are ideas or movements, etc. And then the second time anyone is thrown into the lake of fire, is after a very (very) long day of 'judgement' which is surely a day of reviewing all things and all lives, and thus will be extremeLy long.. Because of certain scriptures, I believe "Judgement Day" lasts 5OO years. And it is only aFter all this that it says "anyone not found written in (the book of) life, is thrown into the lake of fire... But Who, by all then, will not believe? [And doesn't it say "all things in heaven and earth will be gathered back into Him"? AnD - "God is the savior of aLL, especially those which believe"..
One more thing! Where it says the lake which burneth with fire, for ever and ever.. the original words used, in the language it was written (the greek) more closely says, instead of "for ever and ever" - "age lasting and age lasting".. The day of judgement itself is an age.. Anyway, it means all things not true, all things not good, will perish, never to return, in the lake of fire.. Also, when Jesus returns, He brings 'heaven' with him to earth, and his feet touch down on the Mount Of Olives - Zech 14:4. {I have been reading and studying the bible on my own for almost 30 years.} God bless!
