Happy Mardi Gras, everyone! I live in Louisiana, but won't be going to New Orleans to celebrate this year, though we've caught some local parades in our town. Has anyone here ever been to New Orleans, Mobile, Grand Isle, etc to celebrate? Did you have a good time, or swore never to go back? Come share your Mardi Gras stories here.

Mardi Gras is one of those things that I vow to go to before I pass away! Sadly it occurs during the school year and I can't get away. As soon as I retire, I will be going to Mardi Gras! My husband and I both yearn to go!

I have never been to New Orleans nor do I have any desire to go. I am not one that enjoys things like Mardi Gras. I dont like large crowds of people and rowdy groups. I am more comfortable in smaller groups that are less rowdy.
