Is online data entry job bogus?

I have been trying to start some work from home...so i have searched day and night for all kinds of jobs...I m really interested in data entry jobs bcoz of my background in computers...
The problem i m facing is there are hundreds n thousands of sites claiming to provide such jobs with a one time fee of 34.44 to 54.99 bucks..n they claim that one will earn as much as 200 bucks a day!!!
My husband doesnt agree with all this..n i m a little apprehensive myself about spending money n losing it...
So guide me folks, n share any personal experiences,positive or negative n help me decide....

There are no data entry job. They are scam. You should be crazy to pay only one cent to them. They are asking to pay a fee but what for? To give you something to work? If you wanna pay others to give you something to work, why not paying me? lol ...
And what background in computers do you have? Try something else ... and don't put your hope on Mylot ... with how much they pay you maybe you can't even to pay your internet connection and the electricity

yep u r right abt it....i m just enjoying mylot n who doesnt want to earn for writing one's ideas...not pining hopes for mylot to pay my bills or anything like that...
I ve been a lecturer in India...I was teaching post graduates in univ there...but
In canada,right now i cant work full time outside my home so just trying to earn something from home...any new ideas?

You should do a Mylot search on this topic. Many people have posted about data entry jobs before. I have never tried it myself but from what I read most of them are scams. If you have to send money to find a job it is a scam. Do not part with your hard earned dollars. Stay on Mylot for a while and read the discussions on making money on the internet. You will learn a lot, mostly that it can be done but it is not easy.

Hi most data entry jobs are scams the one's that are legit
you will be put on a waiting list and it don't cost.
data entry jobs on the internet tell you one thing but when
you do get it it's going to be something else so stay away
from the illegal ones.

you are being fooled, there are no such online data entry jobs. Be careful not to get trapped by these scams.
