Me and two of my friends(whom i met after joinin this coll)
were great in studies till we entered the premier institution for engineering in my state.
First year was enough to know abt the coll, ppl, snrs, way of life ...
Second yr there was no limit to our madness.. we became best pals by the ending of 1st yr our common intrst is drinking.. lot of money was wasted. this we didn't realize.. Didn't attend clsses.. lost concentration to study.. By the endind of the yr we stood as an exampl for loosers.. I still feel that there is a spark somewhere inside me which gives me a boost that i can do something.. achieve something../ How many of u felt like me!!!!!!!!!!

I felt that way too back in college. I had been a consistent honor student in elementary and high school. That is why I passed the entrance exam in th university that is considered as the best university in our country. If in my past schools I was a standout, there I was nothing special. Everybody was smart. Add to that, I enjoyed college life too much. I went to many parties and joined an organization. My studies took the back seat. And so I got some failing grades. But all through that, I never really lost my faith in myself. I knew that if I only try, I could always do better.

I will say don't give up. In my first year of college I hd taken up economics a subject I had never liked but somehow scored really well in my high school examination so I took it up as it came with admission in prestigious college too. I hated it from thye day one, used to bunk lectures, I used to get headaches in my classes, never could understand it and wasted my time with like minded friends, except boozing around I did everything and as a result while all others of my friends passed in third division , I slipped and failed my first year exams. I thought I will die and wont be able to show my face anywhere. Then college gave me an option that I could change my subject to pass course give both first and second year exams in an year.I took up economics and psychology and since psychology was new subject studied it on my own and I worked really hard for all my subjects in second as well as first year, which I had to do on my own. I gave eight papers one after the other that year and passed with flying colours and at the end of my third year I lost my first position by .5% to a girl who had studied pass course throughout and I was continuously CR (class representative) in my 2nd and third year too. I lost because of slightly less score in my first yeat but if only third year score would have been taken in to account I was the topper with considerable margin. Since then I never had to look back I did my diploma to teach MR kidws and again stoos second at all India leve examination conducted by NIMH and passed with distinction and now I am doing software programming and still I am at the top of my batch. Never let failure put you down,. God shows us failure to put us down and crush over over confidence. I have told my son too about my failurew and I am glad I failed back the otherwise I wouldn't have learned my lessons at all. I would have stayed an average student and never learned what excellence means. I firmly believe that fialure is success turned inside out.
Okay you made few mistakes, you are a human beiong you are entitled toi make few of them. "To err is human"
learn from it. You yourself are saying that you feel the spark inside you, yes its there give it some air of hard work, scrub yourself down and see that shine emerge. Let my life be an example for you-try and try hard never give up -you will succeed no matter what anyone says. change your course if you need to, do what you know and doit the best way there is always a door open, only you can find it.
I will say
"Be the Ray of Sun that never sets
when night comes
it gets dispersed among Stars."
Goodluck, My friend-start walking and see the path open before you by itself.
