India and China fits the bill. China has more advantage at present as India is struggling with population explosion among other things. I think China has more potential.

China and India....My studies say. India needs to boost up its growth rate to 10 percent which the china have already experienced it for the decade of 90s.
India will take some time but not much....to emerge and become the centre of the world.

Exactly how is it that India will be the next superpower? Not trying to sound arrogant but the United States did not rise to a superpower because it had a few nuclear weapons. It received the superpower status because of its economy and the people of the countries ability to overcome the hardships associated with diversity.
If I recall correctly India does have a few nuclear weapons but is the country dirt poor?
Don't get me wrong some of my best friends are from India and they have told me how beautiful the country is but economy drives everything.
Please elaborate on your theroy. I am very curious to hear why you think this.
Interesting reading here.
