It is extremely important to motivate children. If a child is not appreciated he will stop being enthusiatic, he may turn out to be a average person. On the other hand with encouragement and appreciation he may what to try his hand out in various fields. Confidence nad success will may him a different person.

OF course its important and adults should teach them how to be motivated so that they will not give up easily when young! besides its the best time to learn when they are young. At this time, they can easily absorb teachings and instructions. So motivating them is a must when they fail otherwise they might feel lousy and grow up to be a person of no will-power and live "just ok"

I think it is a very good idea to motivate children. It builds up their self esteem and their self confidence. We also need to teach them that just by someone motivating them to try something, doesn't mean they will always succeed. We do need to teach them though, that the only way top reach their goals is to stay motivated and keep trying. I think alot of children these days do not want to motivate and we as parents need to try and keep them motivated anyway whether it does them any good or not.
