The one that my kids (ages 6 & 8) are crazy about is called Rayman Raving Rabbits. You basically have to stop a horde of crazy rabbits, armed with plungers, from taking over your island. Lots of fun mini-games in it, like pig-milking, cow tossing and a dance dance revolution type game that you have to jump around like a crazy fool in...LOL. I'd recommend that one.

You picked a great system! Nintendo is pretty kid oriented, so you will probably have a good selection.
Personally, I am totally hooked on Warioware: Smooth Moves. It is so much fun, so easy to pick up, and multiplayer! It's actually a series of "microgames". They really force you to get active too. It includes things like jumping and "hula hooping".
I also heard good things about Super Monkey Ball. But a friend of mine says it's very similar to Wario. I'd rent them both first and see which one I liked better.

I was also going to recommend the Wario Smooth Moves game! The Mario franchise is always kid friendly, and this one has tons of little mini games that get you moving in different ways, so it stays fun.

I can recommend Wii Play and Warioware: Smooth Moves. Wii Play is great for kids, plus you get a free remote! :D
Warioware is one of the funniest games I've ever played. It's also kid-oriented, with colourful and cartoon-y graphics. I'm sure your kids will love it.
