Should you pay for a software

Well should we pay for a software, or should everything go the open source way as linux, But then how do software engineers earn their living.

i just rent for my pc softwares, there are many ilegal/piracy software that very cheap around me

we should pay for software. it's the right thing to do. but i don't.

well if i have enough money to buy any software , ill go for it... Its like there is no other choice ,so at this moment i dont buy anything...

i think we should..for a pair living..give something for man who built the software..for his effort and talent..

true how will they earn. but i feel this should be subject to how difficult it is to create the software. if a lot of hardwork goes into it then it should be paid for. we can nevr judge on our own how much a software is owrth as we dont make them adn thats why we think they should be for free.....

Softwares are very hard to develop. They process involves, planning, designing, programming, debugging and testing. Those are just the basic processes. Software engineers put a lot of time and effort into their applications. It is a given right for them to be paid for their work. However, when we buy applications, most of our money goes to the higher-ups of the company not on the software engineers and other people more involved in the development of the application...
