Karma, Alma and Orson's Mother-don't read if you didn't see last night's episode

Watching last night's eposide made me think about karma and justice. Whether you believe in karma or a higher power, in your experience, do you think that people get what they deserve in this life?
From the standpoint of this show, it is nice to see that Orson's mother is not in a place where she can't hurt anyone. However, what a horrible life she will live now!
But then what do you think of the situation with Alma. She was totally messed up, but do you think she really deserved to die in that way? Was she really so horrible, or was she just messed up from obsessing over a man who didn't love her?

Unfortunately, I have never witnessed karma first hand. People that have deliberately hurt me in the past seem to have perfect, happy lives. But maybe it just takes time.
I don't think Alma deserved to die that way. She was messed up, but only because Orson's mom had her brainwashed. And she was only trying to escape from that room to help Brie!

My experience with karma has been the same as you. They all seem to prosper and thrive. Granted, I guess you never really know what life is like behind closed doors, but they seem to be doing quite well.
I try to just get on with my life and to forgive them, but it's hard to not have a teensy part of me want to see them get some justice. But I know that if they did get it, it wouldn't really make me happy.
I agree with you. I don't think Alma deserved to die that way either. I think she was trying to help Bree. And she totally had been brainwashed by her evil mother-in-law. I feel sorry for her. Again, here I am getting all involved with the characters of another TV show!

Alma stated before she tried to escape that she knew Orson did not love her. I really think Gloria, Orson's mother, was the mastermind behind everything. She seemed to be coniving and always looking out for what was in her best interest. I was extremely surprised in the turn of events, but then again it is Desperate Housewives and surprises are always happening. Now I wonder who the surprise pregnancy is going to be...

There's going to be a surprise pregnancy? I haven't heard about this. Well, obvious guess would be Bree since she's pregnant in real life. But that would be too predictable for Desperate Houswives.

in my experience karma is very real and instant. I have many experiences of seeing karma working itself out it is very real and not something to be trivialised
