The best facial mask I have discovered is to mix an egg white with a tablespoon of corn starch. You could probably add some crushed lemon balm or another herb that wouldn't tend to cause irritation. I would not use rosemary or lavendar as the oils are fairly strong in those particular herbs and might cause a rash. The egg white mask is awesome for tightening pores and, when removed with a warm wash cloth, it exfoliates as well. Good luck. I hope some others have simple facials to share! Nothing like a good facial!

Yes. Lemons make good good facial masks, skin tonics, and cleansing creams. Lemons can restore the necessary acid balance to the skin, which we often wash off when cleaning the skin. But you should remember pure lemon juice has a drying effect and should not be used too toughtlessly on dry or normal complexions. This is how you have to make and do the facial. 1 Take 3 tbsp of buttermilk and freshly squeezed lemon juice and whisk both together thoroughly. 2 Apply liberally to face and neck and clean off with cotton wool. 3 For cleansing scrub take 1 tbsp each, finely shredded lemon peel, finely ground almonds and fine oatmeal. 4 Mash the ingredients and take some of the mixture in the palm of your hand and mix with water to a soft paste. 5 Spread evenly over a thoroughly cleansed face, taking care to avoid the tender skin around your eyes. 6 Massage with small circular movements for 2 or 3 minutes. 7 Rinse off with lukewarm water and pat dry. This cleansing scrub is suitable for all types of skin.

i love to make my own herbal remedies for my facial...but they must be done regularly. -mix lime juice with turmeric powder and apply it onto your face for about 20 minutes. -mix yogurt with tomato juice and oatmeal and then apply on your face, leave it for 20 minutes and wash off with cold water.
