Young people and suicide / myLot

I am an Aunty. I have lost a 25 year old nephew a year ago. He had alcohol and drug problems. He also and a baby less than a year old.His girlfriend was told by Mike that he was suicidel many times. Finally one day she said fine do it then thinking he would not do it. Well she called him a nuber of times and could not reach him. Yes he died. My question is why do the young 20-30's do this??? The girlfriend's new love just tried suicide yesturday after they had a fight. He was my nephews best friend. Do they not think how this affects everyone around them?? If any younf person or anyone that this has happen to please respond. Thank you

You can't answer the question "why is anyone doing it".. because there are so many reasons for those and there is no ONE answer which are related to everyone. Anyway, that there are only people around 20-30 who try to kill themself it's just you hear that a lot more often in media than when a older person does it and believe me, there aren't that less... I know by myself that I didn't really care about it affects everyone around me when I tried it but it's not possible to say that everyone does so. I don't even can explain why not.. I know this may be very stupid and strange and .. for someone who can't understand this whole thing but.. Mhm.. Sorry, I've no idea how to explain this...
