I am taking care of 2 hatchling turtles that hatched to late in the season to hibernate through the winter. One is a Eastern Box Turtle and the other is a Eastern Painted Turtle. My box turtle has always eaten well, but my painted turtle isn't eating as well. I have only gotten her to eat one redworm in the last week and a half. Any suggestions?

Did you find out any information yet? As I just acquired a painted hatching myself. I would like to know more tips on taking care of them if you know any please?

This turtle could be in a hibernation state. My turtles go into somewhat of a slower mode when the winter is upon us, even though they are kept inside. I think that some of them can just feel it and know. Have you tried many different kinds of food? Perhapse he just doesn't want any redworms. :P Good luck!
