Personally I don't understand how people can be happy with life and with themselves when they are so overweight or obese, and not want to change. Not to mention all the health risks that come along with being overweight and they don't seem to care. My physical appearance alone and how clothes fit etc. is enough to keep me trying to stay fit. I just can't understand people who don't care. It's not THAT hard to be healthy. You just have to have a little bit of self control and find stuff that still tastes good, and is healthy as well. BUT there are more people that are over weight, than there are that are normal weight so maybe I am the minority.

i have never personally witnessed this myself, but i've seen it on tv...personally it horrifies me. now...i ain't the skinniest thing in the world, but i know about eating healthy. these people are teaching bad eating habits to their children and they need to be educated. i think if cps gets involved they should send them to nutriciants and other things. offer little or free gym memberships and other various things to help them lead a healthier lifestyle.i remember a show that showed the parents of overweight children what they would look like when they got older if continuing their lifestyle of bad eating and even how old they would live to. it was a good shock for most and they did learn to change their ways. the problem is, that they need to want to make the change, not just for children but the whole family has to start. children learn from theu parents on how to live their life...we are the greatest role models. my husband is average, but used to weight almost 300 before he met me and took it WAY down. i'm a few couple 10lbs over my normal weight, especially after having the kids...my son is average and my youngest is actually a little below average in weight, but not under. i'm working hard on a limited budget to somewhat get the to eat healthy or at least not heat so much. sweets and snacks like cookies are more treats and most of the time not in the house. i don't have too many veggies and only a little friuts i can get into them and thats the most i can ask for.

Poor kid. I have to admit I like junk food too but I still buy things that are healthy for me and my family. I myself don't eat vegetables and fish but my kids do and I make sure they have a balanced meal. Perhaps people like this should be taught about proper nutrition.

I think everyone needs nutrition lessons. thats definitely not the way to eat and not the way to teach the kids how to eat. bad eating habbits are hard to break and you teach poeple when they are young.

when people do this to themselves it is bad but when they do it to thier children it is child abuse and someone needs to step in and do something!
