Not a quick,easy-to-open,half made already thing.I can't properly cook...but my girlfriend can.The thing is that i've seen a lot of people that couldn't cook.If there weren't any fast foods or semi-preparated stuff could you survive? And if you can...what do you make?

I can cook from scratch. I started learning as a child helping my Grandma and Mom. Cooking things on the grill and BBQ I learned from my Dad. I prepare a lot of different dishes and meals, way too many to list I'm afraid, but here are some of the things that I cook. Fried chicken, pork chops, mashed potatos, baked potatos and stuffed potatos, gravies, steamed vegetables, salads, fried and grilled fish and shrimp, ham and beans, roasted chicken, goose and duck, beef and pork roasts, greens and hocks, meatloaf, soups and stews, chili, omelets, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, poached eggs, deviled eggs and eggs Benedict.Spaghetti and meatballs with Marinera sauce, lasagna, homemade pizza. BBQ everything. There's more but I think that's plenty for this post!

I love cooking but my boyfriend doesnt so he usually depend on me when it comes to what we eat. The only thing he knows to cook is fried hotdogs, instant soups and pasta and other easy-to-open canned goods. But I think that its kinda normal since most of my guy friends dont cook either.
Its good that you have a gf who knows how to cook. Perhaps she can teach you how to make your favorite dish if you ask her to.

I can cook, but I don't think I can survive without canned produce. I'm not able to get everything in season, and in one state that I lived in-I could barely get an apple, let alone fresh tomatoes! So I do admit to using canned produce in my cooking. I do try to cook everything from scratch, it just tastes better to me and my family. I don't even really use the microwave, we only have one so my husband can reheat dinner if he works a late shift. I do know of people that only eat microwaveable meals, they are the unhealthiest people I know, they are chronically sick.

Anyone who likes to eat can be a good cook (almost). I can cook anything (i like to think that i can)... can't seem to be able to follow a recipe though... except for deserts... imagination is part of the art. And allow me to tell you... french... they still have a bit to learn from other countries... (i also like french food, mind you, it's just that i don't think it's top cuisine)
