I'm sure you have heard people always talking about how much smarter dogs are than cats but i think cats intelligence is highly underrated. Do you agree with that assessment.Yea,i know that's an awfully big word! lol I was just trying to make MYSELF appear intelligent.

Cats are extremely intelligent animals and I do agree with you that they are underrated when it comes to their intelligence. I see my neighbors cats outside a lot and see how they react to certain things and how they behave around people or other animals. They are very independent so that tells me they know how to take care of themselves and are not as needy as dogs.

i do agree that cats are intelligent animals, that this intelligence is also shown in their independence. they are also intelligent to determine which household is kind enough to feed them regularly. they know who and where to go for survival. most of the cats we have at home aren't ours, they are stray cats. and these cats have complicated socilaizing skills to the point that they do have 'political intrigues', as i would like to call it. it is funny that they know when to get spoiled because certain actions are tolerated. they also have this feeling of jealousy for a new cat that is treated well the way they are given attention. moreover, our cats back home compete amongst each other for our attentoin and affection in ways that you would doubt a cat can do.
