In my English class, we're talking about political correctness and censorship in America (schools, public, all of it). I know that a lot of people don't realize that there is extreme censorship in American schools. What do you think about political correctness?

I am the least Political Correct person I know and I completely agree with you. There is way too much emphasis on what one can and can not say.
Granted, one must be tactful in situations where someone is likely to be offended, most everyone needs to realize that we live in a world with lots of other people. Things are going to be said and that is the beauty of freedom of speech.

Honestly, I think it's getting a bit out of hand. Seems like you really can't say anything anymore. And it keeps getting worse a;; the time.
I definately think people should be mindful and respectful with their words, but we dont need to be "over the top" with how we censor language. It's amazing what America considers "inappropriate" today.
