You are right, it's time for people to take a stand. Unfortunately, becaues of people like the person above me, and other close minded, bigotted people whom think that everything is about them, and that THEY are ALWAYS right, we will never have rights. People believe that it's wrong for so many different, but equally stupid reasons, it won't happen anytime soon. At least not full rights.

I would understand if you've said they have the right not to be discriminated at work or at any places. But i would not agree to them getting the right to be married just because they could avoid STD's. Gays are naturally are promiscous I say even if you allowed them to get married they still will have a tendency to be promiscous. it is becuase they still had this male hormone that still lingers in them to become polygamous. Giving them the right to get married does not mean they would behave. As I read even in in the pervious posts even straight men has right to be married but then they are still promiscous. I would agree that they be given other rights but to marriage it should be exclusive to men and women only becuase the purpose of marriage is for procreation that they could not do.

nowhere in the wedding vale does it say anything about having children.... It says things about loving each other no matter what the circumstance may be

Actually, gays are no more naturally promiscuous than straight people. They, like heterosexuals, are human, and are subject to human tendencies. There are many gays and lesbians in commited relationships. Furthermore, as I have already stated in another post, marriage was not meant for procreation. It was meant as a union for two families to share power and resources.

Have you done a study of gay people? Have you observed their lifestyle? Because I have, and most of them are in committed relationships. And don't cheat. While many many heterosexuals - men and women do. As I said above - by your logic - oops - already had kids - time for divorce - you can't be married - turns out your barren or your husband can't have kids - oops you're not allowed to be married. Marraige is for sharing a life. By your logic no man should be allowed to be married if they're all promiscuous. And just as a side note - my husband, full of male hormones, would never cheat on me. We do have a child, but I wasn't even sure I wanted kids when we first got married.

I believe gays have a right to civil marriage. However, whether or not they are married religiously is up to the church.
