I have some male friends who get annoyed by girls retouching powder, brushing their hair, applying lipstick, their eye shadows, etc. in front of them. They say it is annoying. They prefer females to just go the restroom or someplace else just not in front of them.
for men, how do you react to this?
for females, any comment on this one? are you guilty of doing your beauty thing in front of your man?

As a girl, I don't prep up in front of guys. It's just so unethical, and makes the guy annoyed and irritted. This comes out on other situations as well like students combing their hairs at class. It shows disrespect, mainly.

I don't wear makeup, and I totally agree with men that this is annoying. Are women so insecure about themselves, or so vain or shallow that they have to do this in public? I think that male or female, if you need to readjust something on your body, you should do it in private! I would never do that in public, or in the car while driving, for that matter.

I agree. I responded that I thought people who did this were superficial, and I wondered if I was being too harsh. I'm glad to see that someone agrees with me!

hehheeh. that's okay as long as your hubby is okay with it. i have done that too in front of my bf which have been my bf for quite a long time already. he was okay with it as we were comfortable with each other, but i rarely do that.

You're not shy at all. I think what you said makes perfect sense.

I always go to the restroom to fix makeup and hair. It seems rude to do it in front of a date, or in front of anyone, for that matter. When I see people doing this, I always thinks that they are superficial and can't help thinking that they are stuck on themselves, even though this may not be true. I would think that guys would feel a bit irritated at this, but I'll be interested to read what they have to say.

I think this is rude, it's the same as brushing your teeth in front of someone, I think make-up and hair is part of a person's personal hygiene and should be done in private.
I wonder how these girls would fell if the guys pulled out their shavers and "touched up" their facial hair, or freshened their deoderant.

I love my wife to do all that she does to be as beautiful as possible for me. It doesn't matter where or when she is making herself more beautiful for me and I love to watch every move she makes. However, before she puts on her lipstick I always ask for a kiss first.
