Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosi. Longest word in the English language. Not one that you find use for often, it refers to a specific medical condition. And of course, there's antidisestablishmentarianism. A tad bit more common, that one. :D

Ahh, I sit corrected. That's one I haven't heard before. And yet Wiki and hundreds of other sites still say anti blah blah blah (I'm not typing that again) is the longest word in the english language ... then they say the same for this one, lol. Letter count wins ... that's a long damn word. I think I prefer "virus" ... easier to spell AND pronounce. :D

Yup, I can. Antidisestablishmentarianism is the longest word in the english language, weighing in at 28 letters. And the definition, according to Dictionary.com is: "–noun opposition to the withdrawal of state support or recognition from an established church, esp. the Anglican Church in 19th-century England."

http://www.facstaff.bucknell.edu/rbeard/name.html Or you can visit the above link to see some non-English proper nouns. It has the name of Bangkok in Thai, which holds the Guinness Book of World REcords record for the longest place name in the world. I've actually visited the Welsh city that that site discusses at the top of the page and of course got a picture of the welcome sign.
