You know the devil is so cunning, and knows the good things that you will get when you study the bible, therefore brings the weakness to you. But don't worry, Romans 38:7 encourages us that we are more than conquerers through Him who loved us. You will conquer the weakness and you will really grow in faith, for God Almighty will strengthen you. Thats my encouragement to you. Thanks for the response whacks.

I wish I could say that I read my Bible every day (I try and haven't missed more than a few at a time in the last year), but I don't. Sometimes I allow my circumstances to take my attention from God and His Word and I ignore it. However, for me to learn and grow, I must spend time in the Word. It is water to my quenched soul, it is the only bread that satisfies the hunger I feel. It is on those days, where I allow circumstances to pull me away, that I realize just how much I NEED to spend time in the Word. Reading, along with spending time in prayer and fellowship with other believers, are the things that keep me sane in a world of insanity.

I too am a Christian and I try to read the bible everyday, even if only one or two verses. I admit there are days that I don't but when I do I feel much better because I feel closer to God by reading His Word. Agree, the bible is a strong weapon for Christians and I carry mine in my purse at all times so I am never without my "sword".
