we don't have winter here but during the cold months, i wear socks to bed because my feet gets really cold. i'm not sure what you refer to as "bed socks". i just wear the ones i usually put on before i wear my sneakers, the thick ones.

Since moving to Scotland, I wear socks to bed. When I was living in Alaska, I had a waterbed. I used to turn up the heater in the bed during winter and it was nice and toasty under those flannel sheets. Well, I brought the sheets over with me, but I couldn't bring over the waterbed. I sure do miss it!! Our bedroom here is not big enough for a kingsized waterbed. The houses are so small here. Even hubby has started wearing socks to bed.

I personally don't prefer wearing socks at night. I feel uncomfortable. The only time I remember wearing them was back in high school when I was in a residential school which was in a hilly area and temperatures were very low. We had no heaters so we were forced to wear socks to avoid chilblains and the like. Since we have heaters at home I don't feel the need to wear socks at night no matter how cold it is outside.

In the winter here in Scotland it does get cold and I do wear socks sometimes as I am a Diabetic. Due to being a Diabetic it is a known fact that the circulation at feet level is not as good as it should be so we have to keep an eye out for not letting our feet suffer the cold.

Oh my - I have to admit it....... it may be unromantic, unsexy, and unattractive, but I have beem known to. My feet get cold at night, and I have a couple of highly attractive pairs of bedsocks (one pair yellow, and one pair pink), that I wear! Often I get hot in the middle of the night, and kick them off though! There - I've ruined my "Street cred" now!

Well in most cases i do.
I always put a clean pair on and then wash 'em after as i normally over heat. (without them) my feets the only part which goes freezing without anything on. =)
It also helps me to relex as you don't feel slight tickles when you brush something.
Kudos!

I wear socks in bed occasionally, or should that be very occasionally? The weather here, in England isn't often cold enough to warrant wearing bedsocks, but I have been known to be cold enough to pull the duvet up around my ears, bearing my feet to the cold, winter chills. It is then, I decide that the bedsocks go on!
I don't wear them normally because they can be itchy and uncomfortable, but on the rare occasion I do wear them, I'm grateful for them being there.
Brightest Blessings and warm feet are wished for you, my friend!

Most of the time I do. My feet are so cold in the winter that I use a blow dryer to heat up the sheets LOL. That sounds really silly but it warms up the sheets and the two comforters that I have on the bed so when I hop in, it's nice and toasty. I don't care what the socks look like, as long as they are warm and keep my toes from feeling like ice cubes, they'll work for me.

I do sometimes. I cant sleep when my feet are cold and neither can my hubby. I will also sleep in socks when my feet are rough. I will put vasolene on my feet and then some socks. They are so soft and smooth the next morning.

I always wear socks to bed. My feet get cold fast. In the summer if it's really hot, then I won't wear them to bed. But definetly in the winter months.

I think socks will keep you warm in general, not just your feet. I sleep better on really cold nights with them on.

In India the winters are not that cold and most people here do not use socks either so a very few may be wearing them to bed
