First, many of you need to learn more about basic writing. Watch your spelling (keep a dictionmary close by) and how you make your sentences. There is one easy rule of thumb: Write as you would speak! If you have to record yourself, do it! Then play it back and copy it all down! Word for word! Believe it or not, most people speak with excellent sentences already and all they have to do is emulate that. When I first learned how to write, I copied old Associated Press writing style. You know, get the "who, what, where, when, why and how" in your first sentence if you can! One great feature of Mylot.com is that it doesn't allow you to cut and paste, which is a terrible habit to get into. I can tell immediately when someone does this and I go right to the next post! Don't do it! Write your own words the way you know you can! Keep it short; readers don't need anything very long. In fact, this post is too long already! If you follow some of these guidelines, you will have a lot of fun with this and see your earnings zoom upward where you want them to be!

Thanks for all these good tips. I donĀ“t speak with excellent sentences, because English is not my native language, but I try my best.
I will try to follow your advice about putting the six "W" in the first sentence, if possible.
Before posting anything here, I usually check grammar and spelling mistakes, but very rarely with the help of a "dictionmary", lol. I shall use "her" more often from now on.
Have a nice day.

You passed the test! I did it on purpose just to see if anyone would notice and you did! Great job!

In my opinion its not worth worrying if your spelling is okay or not and if you say it in the right way. What I would like if mylot would start showing us how we earned what we did. They tend to keep up in the dark. Im not very happy with this so I dont contribute as much now.

wow! thank you so much for that information. i didn't know all that because i've only joined a few days ago. by the way, can i ask you something? do we also have to capitalize every first letter of a sentence here at mylot? because i noticed in your post above, you do capitalize them. i'm so used to write emails or msges without minding the capital letters. i know it's a wrong, but my hands are used to it. anyways, thanks!

It is now considered OK to keep everything lower case because that has become online style. But to be taken seriously, capitalize where you should and puncuate where you should!
