Who is the best batsman - Sachin Tendulkar Or Brian Lara ?

I dont think that lara comes even close to sachin .the style sachin plays and the records he has under his name itself shows it.. Sachin is the pick

With all respect to Sachin's ability, I would rate Brain Lara a shade above Sachin. If we just examine the situations on which many of the great knocks of Lara came, it is crystal clear. He does not succumb to pressure that quickly. But sachin is a prey to pressure always. At times he gives an impression that he plays for himslef (read record). Lara is in an altogether different league.

Lara is a better batsman than Sachin.

I like B,C lara he is more classy.Sachin is no way near to him.

its no doubt..Sachin s the correct answer for this question..brain lara too a good batsman..but he s not as best as sachin..sachin have so many records..he s making a record for every match he s playing..Lara s more than sachin in 2 records.. 1.total runs in test cricket(lara-11953 runs) which s going to be beaten by sachin in coming test matches.. 2.highest individual score in test cricket(400*) which s the only record sachin cant break.. sachin more than lara in all other aspects for a best batsman..

In these two batsman Lara is my choice.Because lot of times he gives the support to win his team.but sachin is out single digit no in the important matches.so Lara is Best.

Both are good batsman in there own ways.. they both have different approach and techniques for batting.. one is a left hand batsman and the other right hand batsman... and sachin has the most the number of centuaries whereas the lara has the highest test score.. soo u cant really compare them..

Well, they both have a class of their own. At present, Lara is playin better than Sachin but Sachin is all time great.
