My partner and i are going to attempt to quit smoking soon, last time i tried to quit i used niccotine replacement patches, oh they were marvelous, no mood swings or anything, but i felt all they did was to extend the 'getting over it' period and gave me heaps of varied weird dreams..lol. We would both really like to live a smoke free life, for us and for my son also, and also smoking is becomming rather anti-social, especially in the UK, does anyone have any good tips for quitting without niccotine replacement???

I smoked for over ten years, i started when i was 14. And when i found out i was pregnent i just quit. i just convinced myself that it was too gross and that i didn't want it. Also whenveer i craved a smoke, i would eat something that i really didn't like, sort of to associate bad tastes with the cravings. for me it was dil pickels. lol. EW. i still think they are gross. and i do not have any urges to smoke anymore. i still think it smells so bad. When my hubby comes in from smoking i can smell it and EW. its nasty. good luck with quitting i hope you can do it. Just also try to stay away from other people who are smoking that helps too.
