Controversial Film:Childbirth In America

http://www.pregnantinamerica.com America has the 2nd highest infant mortality of all industrialized nations (we flip flop back and forth from being worst to being second worst) yet we have the most technology with regard to modern obstetrics. Other countries who focus on midwifery and homebirth have much lower rates of infant mortality. Why do 98+% of women in America give birth in the hospital? Time and time again, studies show us that c-sections have many increased risk including a 3X greater risk for infant death yet 1 in 3 women are now given c-sections in America. It is time this issue gets more coverage and I am waiting in anticipation to see what this film holds and I hope that it will grab the attention of many. What do you think?
