Junk Mails

My mail box is always full of junk mails. How one should prevent receiving these mails?

If you use gmail or yahoo you can active bulk mail. But if you use mail client like ThunderBird you can use filter mail to filter spam mail and move to trash or spam folder.
And also don't put your email on the website that people can see. Like guestbook or forum
