Do you often end up buying the wrong pair of shoes?

Most of the time, I buy a pair of shoes that seems comfortable and attractive to look at at first glance. But after trying it on for a couple of times, I begin to feel the callouses and the pressure that they make me feel. I've made the same mistake many times for about 4 times now and I end up keeping my shoes inside the cabinet without being used anymore. So how can you really tell if a pair of shoes is just nice to look at but not really comfortable, or nice to look at and very easy to walk with?

You are not alone!
I have also done it many of times. Gone into a shoe shop, tried on a pair of shoes, found they have felt comfortable enough and was happy with how the style looked on my feet. Then when I wear them outside, it is a different story all together. I'll suffer from pressure sores, blisters, you name it, guaranteed!
I have a stack of shoes and boots, under my bed, that I no longer wear because they don't feel right. Perhaps I should auction them off.............lol
I think in the future we both need to give shoes a good old trial run before leaving the shop.

Yeah this happened to me a lot of times. It is quite natural that the longer we are in posession of something the more likely it is that we tend to find some problems with them. But that aside, when i purchase my shoes i always make it a point to visit the store twice before i really liked one pair. Well i select a few pairs of shoes but i do not purchase them immediately. After a couple of days i return to the same store and check them again if i can go with them for a good length of time. And this time i make a choice and this method is working pretty well for me these days.

I've done that and I always thought the shoes are comfortable enough to buy them. But when I start wearing them in another place and time, it starts to burden me when walking with it.

Never really. I'm too picky and I make sure I want it and it's made well. Also that it's comfortable. I only have basic shoes for what I have in my wardrobe. When you're a single mom of 3, you learn to spend money well.

Im a confessed shoe addict! I like buying shoes whenever I have the chance to do so. I make sure they fit right, that I wont get sores, But there are times when I end up not using them because they dont match any of my wardrobe.
Before buying the shoes try to walk on them for a few minutes and see if it's painful and if you feel really comfortable. I used to do that so Id find out right there and then if they would give me sores.

Never, when I go shopping for new shoes I already know what color and style to get, and all I have to do is find the right size.

After weating new shoes you will feel some uncomfortable because of its tightness, after wearing some days it will fit to your feet then you will feel comfortable. Korean First Lady Emelda Marquos had more than 1000 pairs of shoes but she did not wear one pair many times, so I if it is your hobby to buy new shoes then you can put it in visible place and wear it at least 3 times each month.
