What are you opinions on them?
I personally HATE THEM! These dolls aren't setting a good example for the children playing with them and watching their cartoons. Children those ages shouldn't be obsessing over their looks and wearing those types of clothes and makeup! I love my daughter, but she will NEVER have one of those dolls!

A friend of mine got one for her daughter for christmas on sale at wal-mart. Her husband took one look at it and totally flipped out. He threatened to throw it out if she didn't find someone else to give it to because there was no way "his" daughter was going to play with a doll that was dressed like a tramp.
And I'd have to agree with him. But even alot of the Barbie's these days come in outfits that I consider are inappropriate for a 7 year old.

i agree with you. i dont like those dolls. people wonder why kids dont act there age. if you buy a kid a doll that looks like a hooker than the little girls are going to think it is ok to look and dress like that. plus those dolls are very expensive i think.

I agree with you! It's disgusting that they make a toy look and dress like these dolls. The really bad part is that they are soo popular, too! No wonder kids dress like they do these days look at what they are playing with and seeing every day. My daughter will never have a Bratz dolle, either!

no way will my daughter ever have one of these HOOCHIE dolls! this is not something that i want her to follow as a role model. So no, they are or never will be in my house. if someone gave her one as a gift i would politely tell them she is not allowed to have them, so you can either take it back and get something else or give me the reciept and i will.

I am definately not a fan of the Bratz dolls. I think they look like little hoochies that look like they shouldbe standing on the corner and not in the toy store. I would not buy these for any of the little girls I know because I know how easily influenced they are. You can say your child is not influenced by them, but you know they are. It takes a very, very strong person to not be swayed by such images that are thrown in their faces everyday and at such a young age, they do not have the knowledge to avoid it.

Good for you. Those dolls should be called something onther then bratz. The show is just as bad. They now even have bratz babies and bratz diamonds. They are really trying to make little girls into something they shouldn't be. I wouldn't buy those for my kids. I'd buy them a Barbie. At least she has jobs and is doing something with her life.

My daughter is 10-- She has alot of Bratz... My daughter is a great kid.. Very 10 year old acting compared to her many friends who act 13... Bratz dolls are not bad! Teach your child right from wrong-- Toys do not teach your children. Parents do...
My daughter loves to dress them up in different clothes.. just like she did Barbies.. She has outgrown both Bratz and Barbies-- But they did not hurt her any.

I have 2 daughters and they have Bratz dolls. I don't see why you hate them so much...I find nothing personally wrong with them, other than the fact that they have big heads, hehehe. But as for them sending the "wrong" message to my kids.....I still say that the kids (ages 8 and 6) pretty much know NOT to be easily influenced by a TOY. My kids aren't obsessed with clothes or putting on thick make up..they're simple normal kids. Why? Because I like to think I've raised them right. No toy doll can ever do that.

I hate them as well. Not because they are setting a "bad example" to children, but because they're ugly and give dolls a bad name. I think if a little girl starts selling her body on the street corner because she plays with bratz dolls, then the parents didn't do a very good job at showing the difference between right and wrong.

My daughter is almost 6 and she loves Bratz dolls and so do I. I don't see a problem with them, they are cute girls who like to look good. There is nothing wrong with wearing make up and cute clothes. My daughter probably has 15 dolls and all the movies and some CD's. I don't think they are bad in any way.

I've had my concerns about Dolls for young girls just recently too. It seems even Barbie is getting more and more provocative with her outfits.
Its all a marketing ploy geared towards the young girls that have these dolls. It's all about being sexy. Some of these dolls wear clothes that I would balk at wearing as an adult, let alone wear them as a child.
There's something desperately wrong when society won't let kids be kids anymore.
